As the Principal of White Pines Academy, I am excited to tell you that our school will be renamed Everest Academy Lemont in June. I welcome you to our website and invite you to consider our school with its new name and new building as an educational opportunity for your family.
At Everest Academy, we focus on the total formation of the student by providing the highest quality education in order to form Christian leaders who will transform society. Our students are dedicated to excellence, and the campus atmosphere is one of total charity and love for each person.
We strive to teach, to educate, and to form our students through a commitment to integral formation. Through this kind of formation, we aim to help each student become not only a success, but a leader in the best sense of the word. By shaping the leaders of tomorrow in the children of today, we hope to make a serious contribution to the world of the next generation.
Our graduates are meant to influence and transform society, which means more than being a leader who holds a position of wealth, fame, honor or power. A leader from Everest Academy can and should be a corporate leader, a doctor, a coach, a priest or virtually any role where the individual brings people closer to Christ and closer to the Truth.
We are eagerly anticipating the completion of the new building for our school, which includes a full gym, cafeteria, classrooms, computer/library room, reception area, and offices. Plans for a chapel, which will be separate from the main building, are also underway.
A building does not make the school, of course—it is the students, teachers, staff, and parents who make for a great school. I think we all know that the foundation we have poured at White Pines Academy over the past 14 year is made of more than concrete. It is made of the faith, perseverance, and teamwork of committed families who believe in the ideal of a deeply Catholic education.
On September 8, 2009 our new school building with the new Everest Academy Lemont name will open its doors. We hope you will be joining as we start a new chapter in pursuit of excellence in Catholic education.
